Science Quote of Inspiration

A NEW THOUGHT EVERY DAY

“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.”

A CONCEPT IN QUANTUM PHYSICS

What is a wave packet?

A wave packet is a localized group of waves formed by superposition. Its envelope describes where a particle is most likely to be found, while the carrier waves illustrate the wave-like nature of matter.

The envelope travels with the group velocity; the oscillations represent the wave’s phase.

MYSURU & KARNATAKA

A place where heritage, learning and innovation meet.

My association with Mysuru began in 2008 with the beginning of my research journey. I pursued my doctoral work here and was awarded my PhD by the University of Mysore at its 92nd Annual Convocation in 2012. In 2015, I joined The National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru, continuing my academic and research journey in this city.

Mysuru is therefore not simply a place associated with my profession; it is an important part of my research and academic journey. Its traditions of art, music, literature, learning and appreciation of nature have provided an inspiring setting for research, teaching and reflection.
